This TV is about 4 month old.  I was going to buy the Samsung 61" DLP because I wanted the biggest TV I could afford.  But after comparing all the TVs, the picture on the Samsung 52" LCD was far and away the best.  My wife and I both agreed that Samsung had the brightest and best picture of all of the LCDs. This Samsung model (LN52A650) was a step up from what was being offered at the afore-mentioned stores, and we were able to purchase it at the link above for several hundred less than the lesser 52" models, and on top of that, we paid no shipping or sales tax.  The picture is incredible, especially with sports programming, and the sound is pretty good as well. There are no 'dead' pixels on the screen.  No scraches, etc.
