Job Description:/h3:
Perform engineering developmental and qualification testing of hot bleed air valves in accordance with test procedures or directions provided by Engineering. Assists in the development of test plans and procedures for new products to best utilize existing equipment and capabilities. Prepares complete test data and results in prescribed formats.
Performs testing, setting up tests, recording data manually from computer interfaces and gauges, recording and saving automated data from tests, ability to operate mechanical test systems, write brief test status summary and report to Engineering.

Position Duties
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
xF0B7; Monitors in:process tests on hot, pressurized air test systems.
xF0B7; Sets up piping, tubing, sensors, gages, and data acquisition for hot air valve testing.
xF0B7; Logs data manually as well as by computer.
xF0B7; Close communication with Engineering team to report issues, problems, progress, and testing status.
xF0B7; Must be efficient with time. Will be asked to multitask. May be asked to be flexible regarding work hours and schedules in order to meet customer demands.
xF0B7; Must operate equipment and conduct business in a safe manner.
xF0B7; Keeps a daily production performance record and reports out to supervisor.
xF0B7; Gets following day/shift test plan approved by supervisor.
xF0B7; Performs all tasks in a timely, safe and accurate manner to avoid delays in operations.
xF0B7; Communicate with all project leaders daily to report testing progress to them and ask about other testing needs, plans, and schedules.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Must have minimum of 2 years aerospace mechanical component lab testing experience, preferably in air systems.

Required Skills:
Language skills : ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, test procedures, test plans,
test schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write brief
status reports using Microsoft Word.

Mathematical skills : ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Using whole
numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, percentages and volume.
Reasoning ability : ability common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, verbal or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems, involving several variables.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle
or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with
hands and arms. The employee is required to lift objects such as piping, tubing, test units, and other
equipment up to 40 lbs.
