And now that platform is growing even more with live, linear and special events which enable customers to watch what the want and get even one step closer to cutting the cord. You would be working on building out new platforms and supporting new products; a unique opportunity to put your stamp on something and have true ownership. Key Responsibilities:Build and scale our current infrastructure as well as designing and delivering new tools supporting our video business.Day to day Engineering and Administration of large scale distributed systems.You will guide the organization and implement best practices to deliver on operational improvements.Own a global hardware stack.BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical degree and/or related experienceAbility to design and implement scalable and highly available systems.Prior experience with Unix or Unix like environments.Knowledge of Python, Scala, or other scripting languagesExperience in the streaming OTT industry.H.264, HLS, Smooth Streaming, Dash encoding/decoding technologies.Experience delivering live streaming events at scaleFlexibility: having a propensity to use the right tool for the job.Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutionsNetworking Knowledge and IP video deliveryDeal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractlyWell:rounded technologists with experience automating with AWS tools.You lead engineering best practices in your current role.Amazon is an Equal Opportunity:Affirmative Action Employer : Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation
