Visit for more information.Position Summary: Supervises laboratory personnel and operations to ensure compliance and quality in accordance with laboratory work process. Exercises authority over personnel decisions and responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of laboratory department..Supervises and coaches laboratory personnel to ensure quality assurance and control as well as adherence to relevant policies and ethics.Oversees most laboratory day:to:day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions.Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes.Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables. Understanding of the need to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward and ability to select and assertively communicate actions and activities that maximize organization performance.Understanding of the value of accurately analyzing the current environment and ability to synthesize ideas and information required for process improvement into a manageable form.Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in healthcare practices and activities.Knowledge of guidelines and principles for quality assurance in a laboratory environment; ability to monitor and evaluate the appropriateness of laboratory practices for general laboratory safety and adherence to policies in all areas.Knowledge of and ability to use medical laboratory equipment to examine specimens according to test requests and to obtain accurate results for further disease diagnosis following laboratory policies and ethics.Knowledge of and ability to operate, collaborate and maintain laboratory equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis while adhering to standard laboratory Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressive Laboratory Services experience in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory ScienceEducation: Bachelors degree or coursework equivalent to meet CLIA requirements.Licensure: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent required.
