Responsible for managing and coordinating all documentation control processes and procedures to support the local Harman product development team. Also act as the local site representative for Harman's PLM (ProCom) system, interfacing with the global team and supporting local requirements.
:Act as the Document Control Specialists in support of engineering and product development
:Analyze and process Engineering Changes engineering technical documents.
:Assist Engineering as needed in creating Engineering Change Notices.
:Support Engineering Authorized Deviation process as required.
:Manage the item master information ensuring correct information. Report discrepancies, and coordinate the updating process.
:Support Design Engineering by monitoring the development activity of initial new releases of product and accompanying technical documents.
:Adhere to and enforce global Governance processes with the team, recommend and contribute to improvements based on facts and measurement.
:Provides timely and accurate response on tasks (part number creation, BOM, creation, etc.) to support other departments requiring document control resources.
:Ensures timely processing and archiving of released documents.
:Review and verify project documents for completeness and format.
:Performs related duties as assigned.
:Act as local Business Administrator for Harman's PLM System (ProCom)
:Understand business requirements for product lifecycle management (PLM) from a product development perspective
:Gather and manage business requirements for PLM as the local site unit representatives
:Participate and advise in user training and documentation
:Be a subject matter expert for all modules utilized within the PTC suite
:Capture problems and requests for improvement, communicate to the doc control team
:Provide training support tools for local users
:Associates's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred);
:disciplines preferred, Business Administration, Engineering, Information technology.
:2 + years' experience in process, engineering or document management
:1 + years' experience in PLM and ERP systems, preferably PTC Windchill and SAP preferred
:Experience working with a diverse Engineering Team
:Experience working with Engineering Change Processes
:Experience in ERP interfaces and usage
:Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously.
:Ability to function in a team environment.
:Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals and manuals.
:Ability to respond to common software related inquiries from company employees.
:Ability to effectively present information to user groups, and/or company employees.
:Ability to interface with other users in a professional, customer service oriented manner.
:Ability to advise users of technology options and/ or business processes.
:Willingness to travel 5 of the time.
:Willingness to work in a Harman office In Northridge, CA.
