Job Description:/h3:
Summary: Member of the Los Angeles Chapter program staff team. The part:time Los Angeles Program Associate serves a key role as part of the staff and leadership team of the Los Angeles Chapter, and coordinates, organizes, administers and manages chapter operations, including volunteers, meetings, events, activities and administration.
Hours per week: 25 hours/week, 5 days per week
Required Qualifications, Experience, Education or Certifications:

1. Bachelors degree and 3:7 years related work experience, or the equivalent.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and social media platforms, as well as ability to work in database environment.
3. Demonstrated organizational, time, communication, management and critical thinking skills; meeting planning experience a plus.
4. Ability to operate home office technology and coordinate service maintenance as needed.
5. Must be able to travel locally outside of regular working hours.
6. Must be able to travel to CalCPA offices various times during the year for multi:day meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Serve as liaison between chapter members and CalCPA; foster two:way communication on issues, policies and activities between CalCPA, chapters, governing bodies and members.
:Member of the chapter leadership team, which includes:
:Effectively communicating and working with chapter leaders.
:Assist in strategizing and implementing chapter goals.
:Executing all chapter activities, meetings and operations.
:Team player, working collaboratively with
members/volunteers, Programs staff and other CalCPA departments to deliver services to chapter.
o In collaboration with chapter leaders/committee members, Program Associate plans and executes chapter networking, social and educational events.
o Help identify and secure event sponsorship opportunities.
o In conjunction with marketing department, responsible for chapter electronic and print marketing, promotion and communications, including social media.
o Participate in CalCPA and chapter membership development and marketing efforts, including firm visits, ongoing recruitment and annual renewal campaigns.
:Help identify and develop future leaders to expand the volunteer base by building strong relationships with chapter members and local firms.
o Coordinate chapter nominations process.
Organize and administer the day:to:day chapter activities relative to financial, procedural and operational matters.
o Process AP and AR for the chapter.
o Manage chapter finances, drive the annual chapter budgeting process with leadership and ensure that the monthly financial reports are accurate. Further analysis required quarterly.
o Administer chapter scholarship program.
Collaborate with other organizations to promote CalCPA.
Special projects as assigned.
