The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is: SUMMARY OF ROLESunPower is seeking experienced solar installation Crew Leads, ideally fully qualified or apprentice electrical journeyman to join our SunPower Direct Residential program. Working as lead of an installation crew, this role will provide for qualified individuals, the opportunity to install best in class solar PV systems Many skills and much knowledge will be acquired in this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):Effectively work in a team to install and seal roof attachments, equipment racking supports and solar panelsPerform all construction tasks per manufacturer’s installation guidelinesElectrical wiring of solar array/system (DC and AC) in addition to installing raceways around residential applications include roofs, attics, walls.Perform site survey activities with a team and independently.Review job installation plan with the Crew Lead.Assist in tracking inventory for each projectPrepare, load and organize installation vehicles. Warehouse organization required also.Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safetyTroubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipmentClean up the job site RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSMinimum requirements - The least amount of skills and training candidates must have to do a specific job. Candidates not meeting these requirements will not be hired for this position.High school diploma or equivalent required.Associates degree and 6+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience. Preferred requirementsExtensive knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems, blue prints and spec sheetsMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screenRegular, reliable and predictable attendance requiredMust be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places.Valid Driver’s licenseAbility to travel between job sitesMinimum 2 years of solar or electrical installation experienceOSHA 30 CertificationStrong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential PV installationsProficient in the installation of grid-tied and micro inverter applications.Excellent customer service skills in addition to solid verbal and written communication skillsElectrical Journeyman's LicenceNABCEP certificationEqual Employment OpportunityThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer and makes employment decisions, including but not limited to, hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, training, and/or compensation, on the basis of merit.
