This employee will be responsible for adjudicating deals in the Southern California Corporate Banking Vertical and the Communication and Media Vertical and will reside in Southern California (Pasadena or Santa Monica) reporting to CITs Deputy Chief Credit Officer in NYC. We have assets totalling upwards of 2B in exposure and have a forecast to achieve 750MM to 1B in new deal volume. The Credit Officer is responsible for the oversight and management of each VerticalA?s credit decision process and policy and oversight of the companyA?s portfolio performance. This entails monitoring the portfolio and oversight the credit and risk management activities. The right individual will foster a culture of risk management and accountability that includes high standards of ethics and integrity. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: A: Chair committee decision on all presented credits within delegated authority. A: Facilitate decisions for transactions/obligors that require approval beyond CCOA?s authority. A: Diligence guidance and oversight and decision facilitation for portfolio acquisition activity. A: Approval of committee minutes and closing compliance memo on all relevant business unit transactions. A: Engage in A?Early ReadA? and/or pre:screen discussions with business unit. A: Oversight of quarterly portfolio reviews: PD/LGD/Risk Classification affirmations/changes. A: Review and decisions of Annual Reviews. A: Review and decisions of waiver, amendment, modification requests requiring CCO approval. A: Partner with FLU to address on all Internal Audit, Loan Review, OCC exams. A: Business unit point for CITA?s risk management portfolio monitoring requirements. A: Provide guidance and in certain cases approval for IWP, Credit Standards, Credit Procedures and various other policies and procedures (i.e. AML, Fraud, Theft, corruption, operations risk, etc.). A: Ad:hoc projects or tasks as assigned. BachelorA?s Degree. 10+ years of Technology, Commercial, Industrial, Communication, Media middle market loan approval and portfolio management experience. Demonstrated Credit decision experience with individual Credit Authority required. This senior level credit person will work directly with the business unit to help shape the deals. Excellent organizational skills with sound strategic judgment and vision. Ability to mentor team members and attract, motivate and retain talent. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex topics at all levels of the organization. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the organization. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
