Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Production Planning/Scheduling Analyst to join our facility in Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area). In this role, you will be responsible for Production Planning/Scheduling tasks in regards to planning, preparing, ordering, scheduling, issuing and controlling production schedules and/or materials. Additional responsibilities include the following:Coordinate with the material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.Confirm material supply and demands.Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, shipping and receiving, traffic, etc.Schedule and expedite the movement of parts; and monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.20 : Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Update daily heel to toe schedules and interface with programs and Operations team with hardware status and priority. 20 : Manage constraints and Non conformances by inputting and updating the proper hardware status in Delmia and notify the proper departments to work these issues. 20 : Identify and track program hardware to be offloaded to Purchase Labor and coordinate with IPTA?s and Production Control moves between building 101 and 106 shipping dock. Work with Purchase Labor Buyer and identify upcoming requirements for offload. Provide support to delivery by tracking both raw materials and finish parts through assembly and shop areas and final shipments to customer. If schedule is impacted, be prepared to understand what is needed for the team to get back on track. 20 : Identify and communicate concerns/issues with potential scheduling impacts by partnering with the IMS team. Provide recommendations to the team on how schedules can be minimally impacted. Communicate information to team members and management regarding schedule issues. 10 : Monitor activities to ensure conformance to established schedule in support of readiness. Take the necessary steps to communicate with various depts. to ensure the readiness process for each part is followed. 10 : Understand and demonstrate the use of Lean/Process Improvement methodology. Participate in various process improvement activities.Requires a BachelorA?s degree in an appropriate discipline and 6 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:Strong verbal, written and presentation skills expected. Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel. Operate effectively in a team environment.Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Plan, organize and prioritize work assignments to meet designated schedules and deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Good communication and interpersonal skills with hands on approach to process improvements.Detect problem areas, define causes and create effective solution, exercising sound judgment in evaluating situations, planning actions, making decisions and setting priorities.
