Fast:casual Santa Monica restaurant that doubles as a high:end, award :winning catering venue space is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the daily management of the full:service, self:service, café, grab n go and bars operations. The AGM is also responsible to meet performance and profit goals. These objectives include assisting in the selection, development and training of all team members. In addition the Assistant General Manager will be responsible for generating and coordinating Corporate Catering Orders, Large Party Reservations, Private Dining Room Reservations, and Corporate Happy Hours.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
2 years minimum previous restaurant experience
1 year minimum previous Assistant Restaurant Manager/Sales experience
Valid CA Drivers License and transportation
Must be able to provide a minimum of three professional references
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Positive and confident attitude
Highly organized and punctual
Outgoing personality
Thrives in a high energy, high:volume, high speed environment
Team player
Efficient and skilled multi:tasker
Attention to detail
Keen eye for aesthetics
Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong ability in putting together concise emails

Responsibilities :
Assisting with the hiring, disciplinary action, and
mentorship/training of staff/ and boosting employee morale
Assisting with recording of attendance, making shift edits in prep for payroll
Ensuring food and service are consistent of Tiato Standards
Assisting General Manager with having all Health Department/Safety requirements met
Ensure all Tiato Corporate Catering orders; food, service, presentation timing and pricing is consistent.
Update Tiato Corporate Catering Revenue on a consistent basis
Ensure guest satisfaction
Retrieve daily specials from Chef, communicate to staff, along with 86d items and upload into POS.
Assist General Manager with floor planning (of server sections) reservations, host stand procedures and managing the flow of the restaurant
Assist with ordering and display of the food and beverage retail items in the Marketplace
Assist General Manager with Inventory Management of all products
Assist General Manager with increasing sales and minimize costs for food, beverage, supply utility and labor costs.
Ensure that all Invoices are coded properly and completed in a timely matter.
Assist General Manager with planning and carrying out projects from the Owner
Assist General Manager with informing the staff of design operational aspects and promotions.
