Fair Chance Ordinance.Works closely with Administrator, Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), and Nursing Department to ensure quality client care, and to ensure special needs of clients are metAssists QIDP with instructing staff on how to carry out active treatments and training objectives identified in each clientA?s Individualized Service Plan (ISP)Assigns and supervises Direct Care Staff in cleaning and laundry duties Trains new staff regarding client needs, client training objectives, and housekeeping dutiesServes as a member of admission conferences for all new clientsProvides new clients with an orientation to the facility with introduction to staff and peersAttends regularly scheduled in:servicesConducts routine house inspectionsIn conjunction with the Dietician and Administrator, assigns and monitors meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; ensures menus are posted and followed; prepares meals as neededEnsures universal precautions and infection control standards are being followed Drives clients to appointments using company van and assists clients on outingsUses mechanical lift to transfer clients Provides Direct Care Staff support as neededMust be available by telephone and respond to calls in a timely mannerHigh school diploma or equivalentCertified Nursing Assistant Certificate and/or Nursing Attendant TrainingAt least 18 months of Direct Support experience, working with individuals with developmental disabilities under the supervision of a QIDP Current CPR certification required Ability to work and communicate in a professional manner with othersPositive attitude and flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the residential homeAbility to successfully pass all employee screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesAbility to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift and transfer clients (with assistance/Hoyer Lift)
