The Director : Corporate Banking Relationship Manager (A?RMA? ) will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing credit and non:credit relationships of varying size and complexity, originate new business, identify and cross sell ancillary business opportunities, and provide support to credit team on underwriting new deals. Primary market coverage will include companies located in Southern and Northern California, and selective opportunities outside of California. A: The RM provides a single point of contact to the client, working closely with the product and industry specialists to develop a thoughtful relationship plan for each client and prospect that focuses on both lending and non:lending business opportunities and identifies specific action items to provide multi:product banking solutions to portfolio and prospective clientsA: Serve as trusted advisor to business owners and client senior management providing creative financing solutions that meet both the clientA?s expectations and fit CITA?s credit frameworkA: As a trusted advisor, the RM builds relationships, understands the clientA?s business strategy and risk profile, and makes sound recommendations to Credit AdministrationA: The RM, with support from the Credit and Portfolio Management team will structure, underwrite, close and manage new credit opportunities, recognize early warning signs in the portfolio and closely monitor clientA?s financial performance to anticipate changes in risk rating. Proactively identify issues and restructure deals to mitigate potential future riskA: The RM will need to be able to both delegate and work closely and effectively with the Credit and Portfolio Management team to proactively serve the needs of the clients, while expanding the relationships and growing the overall portfolioA: The RM will also be responsible for active market coverage of prospective clients through Centers of Influence (A?COIA?sA? ) network and direct calling efforts to achieve new business goals to generate new and incremental margin and fee:based income from both credit and non:credit ancillary product sales, including Deposits/Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Derivatives and Capital Equipment FinanceA: Partner with other CIT businesses (i.e. Capital Equipment Finance) to seamlessly deliver comprehensive solutions to support overall client and franchise objectivesA: Demonstrate strong and visible leadership and foster positive attitudes and trust among clients, prospects, and employeesA: Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence (both external and internal), industry associations, community leaders, and senior business contactsA: Strictly adhere to internal organizational and control policies, including, but not limited to CIT account opening procedures (BSA, KYC, AML) of accurate collection, completion and updating of all required documentation.A: Minimum of 8:10 years of relationship management experience in the commercial and corporate banking market. BachelorA?s degree required; MBA preferredA: Proven track record of originating, underwriting and managing commercial and corporate banking relationships, including single bank and syndicated dealsA: Experience in structuring and closing new deals, including cash flow and asset based lendingA:
