Bustling day restaurant with a beautiful outdoor garden, doubles as a high:end, award:winning catering venue space is looking for an experienced Senior Catering Ops manager:to oversee ONSITE and OFFSITE events. Key responsibilities would be to grow the catering department and set proper operational standards. Candidate should have the ability to create and instill standard procedures for companys growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be extremely detailed oriented, organized, extremely proficient in task management, and have previous hospitality management in fine:dining. The catering operations manager will also be overseeing the sales growth of the company, the hiring and training of catering staff, and will be responsible for streamlining the execution of all events. The person in this position is responsible for creating and overseeing P and L statements after each event, maintaining costing and inventory, vendor relations, and will be responsible for overall operations, supervising both small and large high:end events. Overall knowledge in industry trends, branding, marketing, and sales necessary for growing the business. This involves working directly with the owner, management team, and clients. This position has a high potential for growth for the right candidate who wants to be part of a positive, eco:friendly, award winning culinary team
: 4 years minimum experience in the hospitality industry (a mixture of catering service, some fine dining, and/or hotel management and fast casual multi:unit concept a plus)
: 2 years minimum experience in Catering and Events Management ( with experience in executing 250 :500 people coursed sit down dinners, and events of 2000+ people parties )
: Strong knowledge on fine dining; French:style service a plus
: Knowledge of wine and spirits also a plus
: Negotiation and sales skills
: Keen eye for aesthetics and producing events
: Passion for the industry
: Creating manuals and procedures
: Ability to lead and train your staff
: Professional attitude and appearance
: Flexible schedule, nights and weekends are often required
: Efficient and skilled multi:tasker
: Excellent communication and organizational skills
: Confidentiality is a must:we have many high:profile clients
: Strong FOH and BOH experience; w/ background on food safety requirements
: Display calm demeanor and professionalism
: Team Player with a positive attitude, good motivator
: Proactive, self:initiator
: Problem solver
: Bachelors degree from an accredited university preferred
: Valid CA drivers license
: Must be able to provide a minimum of two professional references
: Must be proficient in Excel and Word

Language Skills:
: Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively + professionally
: Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations / people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
Physical Demands:
: Regularly required to stand, walk or hear
: Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 15:25lbs and frequently lift / move up to 50 lbs
