The AmeriCorps College and Career Coordinator will work as part of the College and Career team to manage and support AmeriCorps Members in full:time service, working with students across various Schools and Community Centers across Los Angeles. The AmeriCorps College and Career Coordinator will manage the day to day implementation of the AmeriCorps National Direct Promise Zone College and Career AmeriCorps program including College and Career workshops, presentations and individualized advising as well as assist in curriculum building and training. This individual will be flexible and personable, able to balance multiple projects at once, and handle all issues and concerns with AmeriCorps Members and programing in a professional manner. The AmeriCorps College and Career Coordinator will need to travel to various school sites and community centers to ensure proper program implementation. This individual will be comfortable having difficult conversations, working in a close:knit team, and willing to take on additional projects as necessary to support the overall impact that AmeriCorps Members make in the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Program Coordination and Implementation:Work closely with AmeriCorps College and Career Manager to implement, and manage operations of the Promise Zone College and Career AmeriCorps program and provide oversight for the alignment of program functions.Support the supervision of up to 25 AmeriCorps Members, deployed at multiple sites.Oversee aspects of Promise Corps College and Career Program, ensuring a high level of quality, detail and measurable impact with students off:track from high school graduation across multiple programs.Work closely with the AmeriCorps College and Career Manager in building and refining components of the program through regularly scheduled school observations, feedback from AmeriCorps members, and YPI and school staff, and review of program data.Support with the implementation of program orientation and trainings for faculty and site supervisors at Start of Year and Mid Year.Support the development and implementation of Member trainings to provide high:quality intervention.Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time for AmeriCorps Compliance.Works directly with the AmeriCorps College and Career Manager to meet all site and AmeriCorps College and Career goals.Serve as liaison for the College and Career AmeriCorps Program and ensure effective communication with all relevant LAPN staff and key school stakeholders.Maintain a strong presence in school and continually cultivate key relationships.Support with Member on:site supervision; Conduct bi:weekly check ins with AmeriCorps Members to ensure proper program implementation.Coach AmeriCorps Members in serving as highly effective advisors, mentors and role models.Conduct regular observations and monitor programs to provide feedback and recommendations as needed. Provide regular updates and reports to AmeriCorps College and Career Manager and Assistant Director on the progress and impact of academic programming.Research partnering agencies to partner with for service projects which meet program goals, vision and objectives.Remain up:to:date with AmeriCorps / Government Relations Information.Support with coordination of National Days of Service / AmeriCorps required events including but not limited to: 9/11 Day of Service, MLK Day of Service, Cesar Chavez Day of Service, AmeriCorps Swearing in and Graduation Days, AmeriCorps Week, Whole School events).Develop curriculum, implement, and train Americorps Members on specific College and Career readiness workshops materials.Planning and facilitating specific portions of AmeriCorps Training and Development days throughout the year.Developing the logistics of running large:scale learning and development events.Recruitment and ComplianceSupport with overall recruitment efforts for potential new AmeriCorps members, including informing recruitment timelines conductin
