Low Testosterone Can Cause A Number Of Significant Medical Problems

Low testosterone is diagnosed when levels in the blood fall below 300 ng/dL (nanograms per deciliter) (National Institute Of Health, 2012). A decline in testosterone production is called Andropause and is the male counterpart to menopause. When a decrease in testosterone levels occur, men can experience a wide variety of symptoms.

Someone with low T will likely experience a drastic drop in his desire to have sex. During sex, low levels of testosterone can also make it difficult to maintain an erection or achieve an orgasm.

Low T is also linked to many conditions that cause erectile dysfunction, including obesity, diabetes, and atherosclerosis.

Extreme fatigue, decreased motivation to do things that were once pleasurable, and a noticeable decrease in energy levels is also common where low T may be the cause.

According to The Mayo Clinic (2012) men with low T might notice a decrease in both muscle mass and strength, especially in their arms, legs, or chest. Even with weight training, men with low T might find it difficult to reverse the muscle loss.

Even more problematic, men with low T experience an increase in body fat.

The Mayo Clinic (2012) also noted that research has shown that men with low T are more likely to experience depression, irritability, or a lack of focus.

If you feel that some of these symptoms might apply to you, feel free to give the Performance Center a call and get your T levels checked.

Remember, low T can steal your life. Isn't it time to get it back?
