Product Sourcing Lead for Professional Solution (Audio, globally), provides the Strategic Business Units with a single interface. Responsible to prioritize the business unit requirements and goals and to lead activities regarding product material cost, supplier technology alignment and supply assurance.
This position has supervisory responsibility, this position will manage the Product Sourcing Audio Electronics and Audio Acoustics team in several locations.
:Procurement Leader for Audio Business unit
:Responsible for Professional Audio program sourcing (Launch to End Of Life) and Product Sourcing activities for Global customers
:Responsible to develop long:term program sourcing strategies for Professional Audio programs
:Primary interface between center of competence R and D teams and procurement organizations
:Provides R and D with technical inputs in materials/components as well as VA/VE activities (Evaluation and qualification of alternate components for cost reductions). Takes design and material requirements and matches to Harman supply base.
:Focus on engaging on Gate 0 with PRU, PMs, Marketing, and DCM/GCM to optimize the supply, manufacturing and logistics setup for each NPI to reduce overall costs and shortest cash:to:cash cycle. Strong contact with Direct Sourcing to find solutions and new suppliers
:Signs:off on Gate 2 and 6, making sure the P and L/business case are accurate and project timing is adequate
:Develop proposal on Make or Buy Decisions.
:Creates and develops technical sourcing plans on NPI sourcing phases to meet cost, quality and schedule : based on Global Strategy
:Establish/participate on building working relationships, strategic planning sessions and "what:if" sessions, between Product Responsible Unit (PRU) engineers and market for design to cost.
:Reviews bills of materials and engineering change order and align with Global strategy
:Resolves component related issues, including, but not limited to qualification, end of life, substitution and failure analysis.
:Manages component EOL process : alternates, replacements, last time buy. Manages LLT and prototype requisitions with the purchasing teams for NPIs
:Makes recommendations for cost reduction and improvements to existing products to increase performance and ensure product manufacturability.
:Support Design Engineering with technical information on parts and early supplier engagement in NPI and assisting with component supplier selection
:Manages prototype part and production tooling PO's
:Monitors , with R and D Team and Professional Audio , NPI costs evolution trough out process
:Proactive risk mitigation on new products introduction from a sourcing perspective
:Main KPIs: NPI cost/ NPI time to market/ EDCRs/YOY savings / OTD
:Bachelors degree required
:7:10 years of related experience in Procurement, Supply Mgt. Program Management, Program Sourcing, Product Development with a record of increasing responsibility
:At least 2:3 years' prior experience managing a team in multiple locations.
