The Allocator uses inventory management tools, sales data, and coordinates with cross functional partners to meet business objectives. Develops, maintains, analyzes and executes chain level item plans pertaining to supply vs. demand, stock alignment, fulfillment, and reporting of critical KPIs to support Oliver Peoples Distribution, Logistics, and Operations teams.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:Analyzes data for supply vs. demand, stock alignment, fulfillment, KPI's.
:Allocates inventory based upon the most urgent demand source.
:Monitors fulfillment activities and proactively manages exceptions for inventory shortages and delays, including aging of inventory, which may occur.
:Monitors and assures shipments occur in a timely manner.
:Performs problem resolution inclusive of reallocation, or disposition of unassigned or damaged inventory.
:Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly analysis and reports as required.
:Supports Allocations team by taking existing reports and reducing the time to analyze the data through macros and queries.
:Coordinates with other departments to ensure effective, accurate, and timely reporting.
:Identifies issues that impact Operations/Allocations productivity and effectiveness. Identifies solutions.
:Supports and assists project teams with data collection, analysis and presentation/reporting. Typically associated with Allocations, but may be related to other operational projects.
:Researches backorder and out of stock issues, works with vendors to correct.
:Communicates with stores, vendors, buyers and planning and inventory team all issues related to replenishment/inventory allocation.
:Makes recommendations to maximize profitability and productivity.
:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
:2+ years' experience in Operations or Allocations processes and systems
:Analytical, able to transform qualitative and quantitative data into executable strategies
:Strong Excel knowledge and experience
:Ability to work to meet critical deadlines
:Good verbal/written communication
:Able to maintain action item lists and project plans to achieve short and long:term goals
:Able to work under high stress and tight deadlines
:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain
:Experience in similar industry
:SAP R3 and BW experience
