The FaceFirst engineering team is made up of passionate, motivated and ambitious engineers who work to solve complex, real:world problems to create a safer and more personalized planet. The Senior Web Developer will be a member of the engineering team and contribute to the front:end web application and mobile offerings. They will perform research, design and development of our next:generation facial recognition platform, and provide technical expertise and leadership in their product areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a willingness to take risks and different approaches, and a strong interest in algorithms, architecture and complex problems.
:Develop, test and maintain a high:quality, enterprise level software in C/C++/C on Windows
:Consistently deliver high:quality, stable and maintainable code on schedule and within specifications
:Perform technical analysis, design, coding, testing and release preparation
:Research new tools and technologies and recommend ways to implement them
:Participate and contribute in engineering meetings
:Interact and communicate with other developers to produce software quickly and efficiently
:Work on multiple tasks and report status
:Adopt and improve best practices to foster rapid ways of software development
:3+ years of C/C++ development on Windows
:Solid experience with multi:threading and parallel programming
:Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
:Solid understanding of computer science including algorithms, data structures, operating systems and databases
:Ability to handle multiple, often competing priorities and tasks
:Ability to overcome obstacles, conduct research, and accomplish complex objectives with minimal supervision
:Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate required time and resources to complete tasks
:Superior ability to creatively analyze and solve complex problems
:Ability to learn new software and third:party technologies independently and integrate them elegantly into existing architectures
:Meticulous about producing accurate and precise results
:Experience learning existing codebases and able to contribute and code in the existing style
:Experience with performance and scalability engineering
:Experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC)
:Good understanding of source control systems and techniques (SVN/GIT)
:Ability to understand and follow direction and to participate and collaborate as a member of the team
:Excellent written and verbal skills in the English language
:Solid foundation in Windows OS architecture and development using Visual Studio
:Networking protocols and services (HTTP/TCP/REST)
:NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB (preferred), Cassandra, and/or Hadoop
:Facial recognition algorithms and concepts (detection, tracking, matching)
:Experience with photography, video and image capture
:Developing software which takes advantage of 64:bit hardware
:Mobile application development (iPhone or Android)
:Service:oriented architecture, web services, cloud, multi:tenant and server:less architectures
:Experience with a wide variety of programming languages and technologies
:Experience with non:windows OSs (UNIX, Linux, etc.)
:Encryption concepts,
