Featuring proven IP and advanced technology, our product families include server DIMM chipsets, R+ DDRn PHYs and R+ Serial Link PHYs.We are seeking an experienced applications engineer with hardware design, lab debug and BIOS development expertise to support US and international customers of Rambus DDR4 and DDR3 memory buffer chips. Analyze and debug complex technical issues involving DIMM, server and BIOS operation and interaction. Visit customers to analyze and debug complex technical issues.Support technical qualification of new chip designs to secure customer design wins.Assist with validation and debug of new memory buffer chips for DDR4 and DDR5 servers. Prepare test BIOS versions to analyze and improve DDR4/DDR5 system memory performance.Collect and analyze signal integrity data at the system level.Review server data logs to analyze system performance. Present technical updates to customers and company management in writing and verbally.Prepare technical documentation such as datasheets, user guides and application notes.Familiar with DDR3/DDR4 memory operation in Intel and/or OEM servers.Proficient with Intel and/or OEM BIOS coding, compiling, and updating.BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.5+ years of experience in hardware design, BIOS development, or validation.2+ years of experience in applications engineering or other customer facing role.Extensive experience with high speed oscilloscopes.Ability to modify and test IBIS models for high speed semiconductor devices.Ability to use scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl or Python to analyze data log text files.
