The Communications Specialist creates and maintains a positive public image for all brands within Oliver Peoples Group. The Specialist provides support to the public relations team by coordinating press and stock, editorial management, public relations, product placement, and events.
:Writes news releases, builds and distributes media kits, organizes public events, works on branding initiatives and oversees media coverage.
:Works with various departments including executives, assistants, customer service representatives, and sales representatives, as well as with external partners and media outlets.
:Supports consumer media relations efforts including media list development, media monitoring and pitching.
:Helps manage communication and product loans with stylists for celebrity placement.
:Works on collateral production, interacts with vendors and manages deadlines.
:Contributes to press materials including media alerts, press releases and pitch letters.
:Performs administrative support to in:house PR team.
:Assists in event planning and execution.
:Coordinates contact list, organization of PR tools, and resources.
:Coordinates all presentations, brief formatting, and mailers.
:Assists in and coordinates the distribution of PR materials.
:Leverages the media content of the studios/networks for product placement.
:4 year degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
:2+ years public relations experience
:Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a creative mindset
:Knowledge of the entertainment and fashion industry with stylist and press contacts
:Proficient with basic computer software
:Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast:paced, environment
:Motivated self:starter, process:oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
:Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
:3+ years' experience working in the celebrity and fashion editorial industry
:Previous media experience
:Proficient with SAP and Kronos
:Strategic thinking skills and fast learners
:Fosters and promotes a cohesive team
:Punctual and reliable : keeps on schedule
:Able to perform work in a fashion that others can pick up where left off
:Takes initiative in self:development : typically goes beyond what is normally expected
