SUMMARY:
Provides on:site management support of centralized
administrative/human resources duties and related office operations directly and/or through subordinate supervisors; serves as central information point within department to facilitate
management/administrative communication. Provides leadership and supervision to administrative staff.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
:Directly supervises the administrative support staff; establishes criteria for acceptable work behavior and performance; evaluates work of subordinates by comparing work quality to performance standards; coaches and counsels employees to encourage exceptional performance and improvement in areas of individual weakness.
:Responsible for hiring, on:boarding and training the administrative support team.
:Plans and organizes administrative support activities; establishes procedures, practices, and work methods to increase work unit effectiveness and efficiency; coordinates work performed in support of one or more functional units by providing central authority, disseminating information, determining assignment of functional responsibility, designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions.
:Develops work unit specific databases and other record management activities; coordinates the production of such documents as board letters, complex statistical reports, or public presentation/ information materials; schedules work.
:Monitor staff performance and schedules and assist staff as needed.
:Help resolve personnel issues
:Prepare and/or generate office correspondence and assist with office meetings and events.
:Develop, maintain office administrative policies and procedures
:Administer and monitor office equipment contracts and supplies, phone, and IT coordination and issues.
:Record keeping of all office personnel vacation, personal and sick time.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree. Preferred area: business, management, communication, psychology or marketing.
EXPERIENCE:
:Seven (7) years of experience in a professional, fast:paced environment
:Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising direct reports and managing performance.
:Skill in communicating both oral and written with subordinates and management
