Manufacturing experience is a must. This position requires that the candidate work closely with both the manufacturing and accounting departments and therefore applicants should have strong communication skills. Experience in negotiating with vendors and creating mutually beneficial relationships is a must. The Agent should also be able to weigh factors such as quality, delivery, and other criteria into consideration when negotiating terms. Compensation based on experience
Primary Responsibility / Summary
Facilitates the procurement process for purchasing, delivery, record keeping, vendor relationship, purchase orders, and recommend vendors for item requirements. Involved in all aspects of the companys business, from development to finding costs savings to corporate strategy to production. Must be able to review proposals for new projects in a timely manner, and must maintain frequent interaction with marketing teams to discuss sales proposals and marketing strategies. Must be skilled at finding cost savings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:Handle contract negotiation, maintain level of rapport with vendors and clientele, and supervise purchasing process
:Atrive to seek out the best possible vendors with the most reasonable price for the value sought.
:Must be able to multitask while paying great attention to detail.
:Evaluate and select freight forwarder to handle each shipment.
:Monitor transportation progress of orders from completion until final delivery.
:Update Management on status of Purchase Orders.
:Must have a solid understanding of math, as well as excellent analytical skills.
:Exudes confidence and is able to think quickly on his or her feet.
:ust be comfortable with enforcing the companys policies and procedures, as well as have a good background in business and knowing how an organization functions internally.
:Prepares necessary purchasing paperwork for all orders.
:Acquires approvals on all purchase orders before ordering.
:Expedites delivery of goods to users.
:Maintains detailed records of all orders.
:Primaly reponsible to keeping up to date on all aspects of proceses, procedures in regards to purchasing.
:Maintain vendor information up to date.
:Maintains relationships with all vendors.
:Keep up with filing system/purchase orders.
:Generate metrics from purchasing system.
:Maintains adequate stock of supplies in inventory.
:Responsible to source, evaluate and recommend vendors for various item requirements
:Verifies supply requirements based on current inventory levels, open customer orders, sales trends, future requirements and other factors.
:Recommend ordering schedule based on supply requirements.
